Ex-con makes a deal with cop Matthew McRae to bust arms dealers.
Movie review
The directorial debut of Forest Whitaker, who proves creative and competent in his new role. He discusses the problems of black youth in New York with no perspective and no chance in life. Either the youngsters turn to drug trafficking or to the illegal sale of firearms. It is a simplistic point of view, but the actor-director manages to make a good film from a technical point of view, aided by good performances by the actors and the right soundtrack.
