Synopsis of the Movie
During a second war, the French try to protect themselves and avoid trouble with the Nazis. A Catholic school protects a Jewish boy, hiding his true identity from everyone. But the Gestapo becomes suspicious and arrests the boy when they discover the plan.

Based on an episode set in Nazi-occupied France in 1944, 12-year-old Louis Malle attends a Jesuit school. , 12-year-old Louis Malle attends a Jesuit school. Weeks later, the three boys, whose Jewish identities were kept secret, are discovered by the Gestapo. It took the director more than 40 years to decide to film this episode. Julien (Manez, Mali’s alter ego) and Jean (Vieto) are closer than they really are in reality. The calm surface of the film is deceptive: behind it lies a thunderous commotion.
